For nearly two thousand years, Christians have confessed the great truths of the faith through creeds. They were never intended to be empty words repeated from memory. They were written to help believers know what they believe, guard against false teaching, and faithfully follow Christ.

As we study the Church Council's Creed, our goal is more than gaining knowledge. We want these truths to shape the way we think, speak, work, love, worship, and serve. Every statement of the creed points us to Jesus Christ and calls us to trust Him more fully.
