Have you ever read a passage in the Bible and thought, "I don't know what to do with this"? The Bible contains some troubling passages — stories of divinely commanded war, brutal punishment, and wholesale destruction. Rather than ignoring them, this study faces them head-on. We'll explore the historical, literary, and theological contexts behind these difficult texts, and ask what faithful interpretation looks like today.

Recommended Book: Violence & The Bible for Normal People by Caroline Blyth ($16 through APUMC, order by April 30).
