Speaking Gifts #1

While not an entirely cut and dry distinction, a useful way of studying spiritual gifts is to group them into those that are focused on speaking and serving. Starting this Sunday we will begin a three-session focus on speaking gifts, beginning with those of evangelist and pastor-teacher.

Lesson 7: Confirmatory Gifts

The Scriptures record many awe-inspiring events, supernatural signs, and miraculous healings done by the prophets and apostles and most notably by our Lord Jesus. Through these divine acts God was glorified, lives were saved, and God's witnesses were validated. We will consider if these gifts are still widely distributed in the church today.

We will discuss the gift and qualifications for leadership in the church and how the spiritual gift of leadership is qualitatively different from leadership in the world. God also gives some the gift of extraordinary faith to inspire and challenge the rest of us
