The COVID-19 pandemic, as well as all the chaos and uncertainty around us in the political realm and the tension around racial inequality, have us all longing for simpler times. Something amazing happens in all of this: Those who recognize what’s happening and return to the Lord realize that the life they were living before is nothing compared to this new, better normal. Drawing close to God makes us happier! He’s not a heavy weight to carry around. He’s a friend, and freedom is found in His presence. The remnant is a happy remnant, because they have truly found that Christ is all they need!
