Romans 8:9 tells us that as children of God we are not to be controlled by the sinful nature of our flesh, we are to be controlled by the Spirit of God. Simply put, the Spirit of God does not want to share space with the judgement altering spirit of Alcohol, it is a flesh-controlled habit and substance. The fact is that drinking has become a popular gray area among Christians.
