2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." The word NEW in this verse is the Greek word Kainos, meaning: "What was not there before, what has only just arisen or appeared." So, after being born again, we aren't simply a better version of our old selves, but NEW creations. And as new creations, we have the ministry of reconciling others to God with the same good news - that they, too, can be made new.
