Scripture makes it plain that we have terrible taste in seeking counsel for this life. There is no question that we desperately need a wonderful counselor, but how would we know if we had come into contact and enjoyment the child given unto us?

Prince of Peace

“Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God.” Jesus, who is our prince of peace showed us what it looks like to be someone who makes peace. However, Jesus is THE Prince of Peace because He is only One who could ever make peace for us with God!

Everlasting Father

A son was given that we might know and understand and be profoundly impacted by an everlasting Father. Jesus is indeed like a father in many many ways. However, our union with Christ means a union with the first person of the Godhead. It is beyond understanding all that we have in Christ who brought many sons and daughters to glory that we should be co-heirs with Him beloved of the Father.

Mighty God

May we linger often over the truth that God became flesh and dwelt among us. May we live truly believing that He draws near to those who call upon Him in truth and with broken and contrite hearts.
