Because Jesus is the LORD of the Sabbath, He releases us from the legalistic pressure of self-righteousness and frees us to a life of joyful obedience because of His righteousness that was made available to us on the cross.
Remembering the main reason why Jesus came helps us to see that His predetermined plan will always be accomplished.
Anger that glorifies God will be mingled with grief and sorrow and will respond with obedience to God's commands.
When it comes to self-righteousness, the Gospel is not something we add to our personal works for salvation.
