Men,

In two weeks, I will be starting a book club for the summer, meeting eight Wednesday mornings at 6:30AM here at the church. Together we will be slowly walking and wrestling through a book titled "Fighting Shadows"; I believe it contains some timely words and challenges for every man in our church right now. Some of it I like, some of it I don’t like, but that’s the point: we will wrestle out the truth together. We need our men fully alive and fully depending on Jesus as we head into this next season in the life of the church. All men are needed, and the time is now.

If you are up for the challenge, then please do the following:

1. Please purchase the book (link above).

2. Please read the Introduction (The Lie of the Shadows) and the first chapter (The Eclipse) before our first meeting on Wednesday, 6/19.

3. Please commit to attending as many of the meetings as possible. Summer is busy and you likely have scheduled time away and other commitments, but please engage as consistently as possible, for yourself and for the other men.

We will meet on the following Wednesdays at 6:30AM at the church: 6/19, 6/26, 7/17, 7/24, 7/31, 8/7, 8/14, 8/28.

Coffee and refreshments will be provided each week.
