Judge not

Episode 392

Angus Buchan

John 8:3-11 is todays reading and Angus tells us that people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. We have all sinned and have no right to judge others. First, remove the log from your own eye before you try to remove the splinter from your neighbors’ eye. So often those who criticize or judge what others are doing are guilty of far worse behavior. Repent of your sins, say sorry and move on with your own life. Let God be the judge!

Hebrews 13:8. There is nothing more powerful than a personal testimony. Acts 6:10, 15. Steven became the first martyr as he testified about the power of God. People are not interested in what we have to say, they are interested in what He, Jesus Christ, the Word of God has to say. Colossians 1:27. When they looked at Stephen they they thought that they were looking at an angel, because they could see Christ in him. When Jesus speaks, we need to listen up.

Confession

1 John 1:9, Psalm 32:5

We need to understand that if we belong to Jesus then we are of those people who say sorry if we have done something wrong. God is not looking for good people, but for godly people. Psalm 32:5. 1 John 1:9. God has given us a way out. There is immense power and freedom in saying sorry. The devil doesn't want us to confess our sins because it sets us free.
