Familiarity

Episode 110

The only opinion that counts in this day and age is God’s opinion. The Bible needs to be our compass. Be careful that you don’t become familiar with your peers and family. Matthew 7:6 is the reading today. Don’t cast your pearls before swine. We need to be so careful who we share intimate things with - rather take it to The Lord. Speak to The Lord and He will comfort you. Familiarity breeds contempt. Don’t share personal things because people will lose respect for you.

Hebrews 13:8. There is nothing more powerful than a personal testimony. Acts 6:10, 15. Steven became the first martyr as he testified about the power of God. People are not interested in what we have to say, they are interested in what He, Jesus Christ, the Word of God has to say. Colossians 1:27. When they looked at Stephen they they thought that they were looking at an angel, because they could see Christ in him. When Jesus speaks, we need to listen up.

Confession

1 John 1:9, Psalm 32:5

We need to understand that if we belong to Jesus then we are of those people who say sorry if we have done something wrong. God is not looking for good people, but for godly people. Psalm 32:5. 1 John 1:9. God has given us a way out. There is immense power and freedom in saying sorry. The devil doesn't want us to confess our sins because it sets us free.
