The Chapel

On the Farm with Angus Buchan

August 6, 2021 • Angus Buchan

We all know how much Uncle Angus loves people and loves to tell stories. He would probably invite everyone to tea and recount anecdotal memories from his life if he could. Now, thanks to the technology of social media, he can. 'On The Farm With Angus' offers you the chance to walk with Angus as he shares with us about his bees, grandchildren, collections and love of animals, etc.

This week, Uncle Angus shares his story about the much-loved Chapel on the Farm...

Appreciation

August 9, 2022 • Angus Buchan

Today I want to honour women for everything they do, especially my wife Jill. It is 45 years today that we arrived on this farm on the 9th of August 1977, with nothing more than a caravan. My wife was 6 months pregnant and we had 3 small children. There was nothing here, it was just an overgrown piece of land. There was no water and no electricity, and my wife made this a home... Thank you to all the women for everything you do and everything you are. Jesus bless you.

Planted

February 18, 2022 • Angus Buchan

When Uncle Angus arrived here from Zambia on the 9th of August 1977, he was not a Christian. He gave his life to Jesus on the 18th of February 1979. Today is his spiritual birthday! He was "planted" here for a reason.... he met Jesus, and the rest is history. Where have you been planted and how will God use you where you are? Trust Him in the process.

Quiet Times

February 4, 2022 • Angus Buchan

Spending time with Jesus is never a waste of time. Let us go to a quiet place and let us talk to Jesus and spend time with Him. I have a poustinia in the form of my prayer room, but I also have a special place in my mind that I go to, especially when I'm travelling. A poustinia is a Russian word for a small sparsely furnished cabin or room where one goes to pray and fast alone in the presence of God.
