A lazy man

Episode 1367

Angus Buchan

Angus refers to 2 Thessalonians 3:8-10 and explains that as born again believers, we need to earn a living and not be a burden to others. Rather than being a burden to the church, Paul the apostle and the other disciples earned their keep and supported themselves while living and preaching the Gospel. God wants us all to be like them so that we can be a blessing to others. Parents need to provide for their children and love them and set an example for them to follow. Don’t be a lazy person.

Forgive

If Jesus Christ Who died on the cross for us says that we must forgive, then surely we must forgive others. We must not have anything in our hearts that will block our relationship with God. We need to exercise grace, undeserved favour, as God has done with us.

Born again

John 3:3–4, John 3:7

John 3:3-4, 7. Unless a person is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. This means that our lives need to change based on a decision we make to believe in and follow Jesus. It is a 180 degree turn in the opposite direction from where we were going. There needs to be change.

The Time Keeper

Isaiah 38:5, Isaiah 38:8

The Lord is the ultimate Time Keeper. Isaiah 38:5, 8. God gave king Hezekiah an extra fifteen years of life. God also caused time to go backwards by ten degrees on the sun dial. He is the God of the impossible, the Miracle worker. We cannot limit God.
