God expects us to be spiritually mature and people of integrity both in the way we live and in spiritual matters. If someone professes to be a Christian but behaves in a way that does not glorify God then they need to be challenged. That does not mean having a holier than thou attitude but rather that you, in love, bring their error to their attention and help them to do the right and Godly thing.
