Admitting Our Need

SNAP

March 22, 2022 • Rachael Thomas • Matthew 5:3

SCRIPTURE
Matthew 5:3 MSG You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.

NUGGET
Suffering alone is one of the enemy’s greatest tactics. If we can be convinced to silently carry the weight of our pain alone, we will evently be crushed by it. That game plan cannot be found in scripture and doesn’t make any of us more Godly for “white knuckling” our secrets into submission and silence. We were made to need God and others. When we begin to realize the depth of our need, we are in the best place to get the help we’ve been searching for.

APPLICATION
Where have you been trying to “white knuckle” your way through your pain? Where have you been trying to stuff it down? Admit this to the Lord and ask Him what it would look like for you to reach out and let someone know what you need.

PRAYER
Lord help me to be honest with you and others about what I need. I can’t walk this road alone in my own strength.
