SCRIPTURE
Gen. 1:26-27 NIV Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them

NUGGET
It is incredible to know that Jehovah God who created the entire universe thought highly enough of us to make us in His image and likeness. There are endless facets to that image, but one of those facets is “Creator”. He is a creator. Therefore, you are also a creator. You are meant to CREATE. As children, it’s so easy for us to be imaginative and creative and somewhere along the way, we often shut down that part of ourselves.

ACTIVATION
Have you forgotten how to create? This is your permission to be creative again. Carve out some time today to draw or write or paint or be imaginative with an idea or just experience beauty in nature.

PRAYER
Father, it is amazing to remember that I am made in Your image. I want to be an honest image-bearer. I also want to add beauty to the world by creating what You have put in me to create. Remind me how to do that, Lord. Amen.
