SCRIPTURE
Psalm 3:4 AMPC With my voice I cry to the Lord, and He hears and answers me out of His holy hill. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

NUGGET
With all the demands on our time, it can be easy to rush through our quiet time with the Lord. But it’s important to take the time to hear what the Holy Spirit is trying to tell us. Otherwise, we can read a truth from scripture, quickly reason through how to apply it, then move on with our day. All the while, we may be missing something deeper. The Holy Spirit uses the Word to show us what we can’t see for ourselves. “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” (Mt. 11:15 ESV)

ACTIVATION
In your time with the Lord today, hit the pause button. Read a scripture, then listen to what the Lord might be telling you about it before moving on.

PRAYER
Holy Spirit, I lay down my time at the altar today. Help me hear what You have to say and give me grace to apply it to my life. Thank You, Lord.
