SCRIPTURE
2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
NUGGET
Sometimes we don’t feel like we’re new. But when we turn from sin (repent) and follow Jesus as our Leader (Lord), we are immediately made new inside, spiritually. God’s word is Truth and does not change. He always keeps his promises. Because of this fact, we can be sure no matter how we feel, if the word says we are new, we are. We hold to its Truth.
ACTIVATION
Memorize Romans 4:21, I am “fully convinced that God is able to do what he promised.” If the enemy comes at you with lies this week: lies that make you feel unworthy or like your old self, or that change will never be permanent, declare this verse out loud! Make it your war cry. God is able to do what He’s said and friend, you are new in Christ. Onward.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father thank You that You are good and that Your word is unchanging. Thank You that we can trust all that You’ve said in Your Word to be true. Thank You that we are a new creation, dearly loved, caught for and celebrated by You. Reminds us this week of Your promises, for Your great glory and our good. We ask it in the beautiful name of Jesus.
