ADORATION
If adoration was all I could offer
Would I give it my last breath?
Could I come before You grateful
Putting my selfish wants to death?
No more of my petitions
Would I cast before Your throne
And all my supplications
I would no longer make them known
The aching of my heavy heart
Could it’s secrets I still keep?
Could I lift my praises upward
Verses casting burdens at Your feet?
When storms around beset me
Or through valleys I should walk
May my lips still usher gratitude
Giving praise in word and thought
For God you are Creator
My thoughts are sometimes small
Forgive me and my self-centeredness
And help me praise You through it all
