SCRIPTURE
James 3:17 NASB But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.

NUGGET
Wisdom can be hard to identify sometimes in the throws of making decisions, especially ones that carry more weight and consequence. The good news is that God gives us a description of what wisdom looks like. One of its traits is gentleness. Wisdom isn't harsh or pushy or offensive. So it can act as a good checkpoint as we're making decisions.

ACTIVATION
As you go through the day today, think about the decisions you're making, whether it's about that conversation you need to have with your spouse or about something as simple as a social media post, and ask....does it carry wisdom's marker of gentleness?

PRAYER
Father, I ask You to give me wisdom in the decisions I make, both big and small. Help me to clearly see the variables for what they are in the light of Your Word and to recognize the gentleness of wisdom. I put my trust in You as You lead me on.
