SCRIPTURE
Ps 27:11 ESV Teach me thy way, O LORD; and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

NUGGET
We make decisions every day. Most of them are relatively small and inconsequential…what to wear, what to have for breakfast, whether or not to have that third cup of coffee. But other decisions are more weighty and carry more consequence and are, therefore, harder to navigate. If you are facing a big decision, God will be faithful to lead you in a plain path, to make it clear what He wants you to do. Trust in that. He’s not trying to make it hard for you to figure out. Pay attention to that nagging doubt that won’t let go. The one you want to reason-away. If God wants you to move in a specific direction, wait for Him to make it clear. Oswald Chambers, author of My Utmost For His Highest wrote, “When there’s doubt - Don’t.’

ACTIVATION
Lay out all of the facets of the decision you have to make before God. Unafraid. Unedited. There is safety in a multitude of counselors (Prov. 11:14), so reach out to a trusted, wise friend or pastor and get their advice as well. We deceive ourselves so easily (Jer. 17:9), so it’s good to gain clarity from others in making big decisions.

PRAYER
Father, I ask that you give me wisdom and clarity in making decisions. I trust You and know You are faithful to lead me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
