SCRIPTURE
1 Peter 4:8 ESV Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

NUGGET
I love this scripture. There’s so much mercy in it....mercy from God toward us and mercy we can show each other. In Genesis 9:20-27, Noah got drunk and was naked. One of his son’s exploited his sin and told his brothers. The two brothers then went into the tent backwards so they would not see their Father’s nakedness and covered him up. They were blessed for doing that. The other brother was cursed. We have the opportunity to show the same mercy to each other. When we see a brother or sister fall and handle it with love and discretion, God honors us.

ACTIVATION
We all fall short sometimes and need love’s cover! Ask the Lord to give you wisdom in how you can show love and mercy toward a brother or sister who may need it.

PRAYER
Father, I thank You and praise You for Your love and mercy over us all!
