SCRIPTURE
Galatians 6:8-9 NIV Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
NUGGET
When we partner with God and do His work, a harvest follows. Sowing to please the Spirit always comes with rewards! It’s part of how God set up His Kingdom economy. This verse reminds us to take heart because of these rewards. When you start to get tired in the battle of sowing with God, remember the rewards. The harvest you are going to reap is worth it. God doesn’t treat us like slaves, beating us over the head with work. Instead He calls us sons and daughters, and He invites us to co-labor with Him; He gets in the dirt with us. He rewards us for our persistence and partnership with Him. Keep sowing to please the Spirit. Someone needs what you are sowing!
ACTIVATION
Ask the Holy Spirit to show you 1-3 ways you can please Him and partner with Him today. If you are weary in any area, ask Him to fill that area with His comfort, joy and strength.
PRAYER
Holy Spirit, I want to sow to please You. Teach me how to run with You and partner with You in the sowing and reaping. Be my resilience and energy so that I do not become weary in doing Your good work!
