"But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers."

As we study Acts 2:42-47, we learn that the early church joyfully and faithfully gathered together. The Holy Spirit was at work in their midst. While we depend on the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, people choosing to gather together and to bring their gifts and contributions is also critically important. In other words, the church is like a potluck and we are all invited to come and bring our gifts, talents, pain, and stories.
