Tuesday, May 11, 2021 - Biblical Principles of Marriage: Foundational for Society

May 11, 2021

Transcript: Making the case for marriage is easy – if we fear God. This week following Mother’s Day, I’ll identify 5 biblical principles for the defense of marriage. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Not only is marriage God’s idea, His Plan establishes biblical marriage as foundational for strong families – the cornerstone of authority in human society. God’s foundation for societal order is upheld first by the pillar of Family authority, then Civil, then Church authority – all nurtured by God’s purpose and limitation for each. No nation can be blessed of God without strong families. No family can be strong without strong marriages. No marriage can be strong without following God’s design of 1 man and 1 woman in marriage. Pastor, parent, young person, will you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and embrace, defend, and live out God’s plan for marriage in the pulpit and in the home? Monday, May 10, 2021: Biblical Principles of Marriage: It's God's Model

May 10, 2021

Transcript: With Mother’s Day now just behind us, it’s a great time to re-emphasize the importance of marriage. Defending the model of one man and one woman’s easy. Whether examined historically, physiologically, emotionally, economically or morally -God’s model for marriage is superior to any other. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors network and a timely Stand in the Gap Minute. This week, I’ll share 5 biblical principles for the defense of marriage. The first principle is that marriage is God’s idea. God’s model is best because God alone is our Creator and its His right to set the standard. Our opinion doesn’t really matter. We have no vote but we do not have a choice. As the Source of all Authority, God’s plan for male and female, marriage, human sexuality, children and family prevails. Only He has the right to legitimately define it and to demand that we observe it. Will you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and embrace, defend and live out God’s Plan for marriage? Wednesday, May 5, 2021 - Mother's Day Series: To Honor is to Obey

May 5, 2021

Transcript: During this week preceding Mother’s Day, it’s good to think about our moms and give them due honor. What does God say about honoring our parents? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Since God designed the idea of family as 1 man and 1 woman in devotion to each other and if blessed of God with children, we should honor our moms in a special way if they’ve done well in raising us to fear God and walk in His steps. The 5th Commandment says to honor our fathers and mothers. But honoring is more than being thankful. To honor includes obeying them as God’s stewards over us and submitting ourselves to their direction as we would to God. When done well, the example of children obeying their parents, moms instructing their children in the ways of God are powerful. Tuesday, May 4, 2021 - Mother's Day Series: A Spiritual Position

May 4, 2021

Translate: This is Sunday’s Mother’s Day. How will you honor your mom? My mom went to heaven years ago, but I’ll honor her memory by sharing stories with my grandchildren about how my mom raised me to fear God, love truth and live by faith. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. The word mother first occurs in Gen 2:24 where God created male and female named them Adam and Eve and ordained marriage between father and mother - for a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife. God’s plan starts with 1 man and 1 woman who forsaking all others cleave to each other and form a God designed team from which God can give children to be raised up in the fear of God. Motherhood’s not just a biological but a spiritual position ordained of God. Join us at Stand in the Gap radio and TV and honor our moms as God does. May 3, 2021

Transcript: This coming Sunday we’ll celebrate Mother’s Day. Honoring our Mothers is important to them, us and to God. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Our moms hold a most special place in our hearts. Regardless of their education, talents or accomplishments, they’re special because they carried us in their wombs then gave us life. They fed us, bathed us, nurtured us when we were helpless and needy. We are from them and literally part of them. If nothing else, shouldn’t we love our moms, care for them they grow old as they cared for us and this Mother’s Day honor them in a special way? The balance of this week, I’ll share several biblical reasons why honoring our moms is so important not just on Mother’s Day but every day. Friday, April 30, 2021 - Fearing God Series: Man's Duty

April 30, 2021

Transcript: So how important is the fear of God to you and me, for our nation and for our national leaders? In the Book of Ecclesiastes, the book of the best of human wisdom, Solomon, concludes the entire pursuit of truth and learning with his final words, the very words needed for America today. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American pastors network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. In final summary, Solomon said, remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth. Look to God the Creator. Go to Him. Then he says, Let us now hear the conclusion of the matter, Fear God and keep His commandments for this is the entire duty of mankind. Why? Because God will bring every work into judgment with every secret thing, whether it be good or evil. Accountability and answering to God is what we will all do. A great reason to fear God. Thursday, April 29, 2021 - Fearing God Series: Discover Truth

April 29, 2021

Transcript: Understanding the fear of God starts with hating what God hates and pursuing the Truth of God. Prov 2:5 says, if a person seeks truth, he will find it. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. If our nation’s to turn from its pursuit of evil and the choice not to fear or respect God we must stop trying to define Truth as we see it, and discover Truth as God defines it. A society that seeks to define truth in their own eyes does so at their own peril. If Jesus Christ Who is the Truth becomes the object of the person pursuing Truth, then Truth is discovered, and the fear of God understood. The Bible makes it clear in the book of John that Jesus as Truth results in freedom and blessing. That’s what America needs. Join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV in discovering Truth, not trying to define it. Stand with us at stand in the gap media dot org

Wednesday, April 28, 2021 - Fearing God Series: Seek Knowledge

April 28, 2021

Transcript: Since fearing God means hating evil, pride, arrogance, the way of evil and perverted speech, do you fear God? Proverbs 1:7 says that the fear of God is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American pastors network and another Stand in the gap Minute. According to Proverbs 1: 29, those who choose not to fear God are marked by their hate of truth and knowledge. They are despisers of what is good, therefore God says they will eat of their own fruit, and be filled with the consequences of their own sinful choices. But God makes it clear that he has offered a way of hope and freedom and it starts with fearing Him. Proverbs says that if we cry after knowledge, and seek understanding in the fear of God we will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. Tuesday, April 27, 2021 - Fearing God Series: Hate What God Hates

April 27, 2021

Transcript: Defying moral truth, glorifying sexual perversions, gleefully murdering our babies, redefining marriage and defending open borders, is gross wickedness and a defiance of God’s plan for society. It assures God’s judgment on America. So how can we turn God’s wrath to God’s blessing in our land? By fearing God. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. So what is fearing God? In Prov 8:13, the Bible says that fearing God means we will hate 5 things. Evil, pride, arrogancy, the way of evil, and perverted speech. The fear of God starts with knowing God, learning what He loves and what He hates, then choosing to love what he loves and hate what He hates. Fearing God is a choice. Prov 1:7 says that this fear of God is the beginning of knowledge. Join with us at Stand in the Gap radio and TV and choose to fear God and hate what He hates. Our nation’s future depends on it. Stand with us at stand in the gap media dot org.

Monday, April 26, 2021 - Fearing God Series: No Fear of God

April 26, 2021

Transcript: Have we lost all fear and respect for God in our nation? When we look around and see the glorification of sexual perversions, the relentless efforts to redefine marriage and the incessant pursuit of legal permission to kill our babies in and out of the womb, are you aghast? Are you disturbed? I hope so. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another timely Stand in the Gap Minute. The Apostle Paul said it straight out in Rom 3:18. The unredeemed and the evil in heart have no fear of God before their eyes. While some have always hated the Truth, rejected God and Jesus Christ, and embraced lies and deceit, it’s far more serious when an entire culture becomes arrogant and zealous in their pursuit of sin. Until we re- embrace a fear of God, our nation stands in jeopardy of God’s wrath against sin. Join with us at Stand in the gap radio and tv and fear God in our lives and actions. Friday, April 23, 2021 - Train Up a Child Series: Do They Love God?

April 23, 2021

Transcript: In a recent interview regarding Christian education, my guest noted that the most important question to measure of graduating seniors is, “Do they end up loving the Lord God with all their heart and mind and soul?” This is the ultimate success indicator to build into the next generation. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. This week, I’ve presented the importance of training up our children in the way they should go. This impact includes living out our faith, teaching the Scriptures to our children and grandchildren, and answering their tough questions. But the most important commandment remains – love the Lord your God. We tend to focus on our child’s GPA or athletic or art accomplishments. God looks at the heart. Let’s emphasize most what He expects most: Do they love God? That question should be our greatest objective for the next generation. our nation, and for our own lives. Thursday, April 22, 2021 - Train Up a Child Series: Answering Questions

April 22, 2021

Transcript: Can we answer the significant questions of life for the next generation? Yes, but we must know what God’s Word teaches—and be equipped to share it! Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. The most recent Barna statistics share that the youngest generation, Generation Z, includes only two percent of Americans who hold a biblical worldview. These young people have access to more information than any group in human history, yet are the most biblically illiterate. The way to help is to both know God’s truth and to share it. Are you regularly studying God’s Word for your own spiritual growth? If not, begin there. Also, start with your own child or help another person with their questions. Whether creation, family, or other important issue, God has called you to be an influence to answer the most important questions of the next generation. Wednesday, April 21, 2021 - Train Up a Child Series: Fear and Obey God

April 21, 2021

Transcript There is a reason God told Israel’s fathers in Deuteronomy 6 to fear God and raise up their children to fear the Lord. Fearing God is the foundation to personal and national success. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Deuteronomy 6:2 teaches, “That you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all his statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.” Verse three adds “that it may be well with you.” Our fear of the Lord extends life and offers security as we live according to God’s ways. You must personally invest in your child’s life to help them know the ways of the Lord. We don’t outsource godly teaching; we are called to equip our children with God’s Word.
