Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021 - Israel Series: Rebuking Replacement Theology

December 7, 2021

Transcript: What’s the proper understanding of Israel and the church? How does this apply to our view of Israel today? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. A theological view called Replacement Theology wrongly promotes the belief that the church has replaced Israel during our current age. As a result, a growing number of Christians fail to understand the necessity of supporting Israel and the Jewish people. This erroneous view arises from a misunderstanding between the teachings related to God’s chosen Jewish people and followers of Christ. The apostle Paul clearly taught Christians are “grafted in” and become part of God’s family. However, this does not replace the Bible’s covenant promises to Israel. God continues to fulfill His plan of Redemption including the restoration of the Jewish nation. We’re called to stand with Israel, not against it, sharing the gospel with both Jews and others until Jesus the Messiah returns. Monday, Dec. 6, 2021 - Israel Series: Anti-Semitism in America

December 6, 2021

Transcript: The ugly face of anti-Semitism continually rises around the world. Whether in the political, commercial, education or religious, nothing’s off limits it seems. How can we oppose such forms of antisemitism? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. The Bible instructs us to love our neighbor as ourselves. This includes both Christians and those who aren’t. In particular, Scripture urges believers in Christ to bless the Jewish people. While you may not live near a Jewish community, there are ways to help. For example, when’s the last time you or your church followed the admonition of Psalm 122:6 to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem”? Or perhaps you could assist a variety of ministries and humanitarian groups existing to serve the needs of Jews worldwide. These groups offer specific opportunities to express our solidarity with Israel and her people, opening ways to show God’s love to His chosen people. Friday, Dec. 3, 2021 - If My People Pray Series: If My People Turn from Their Wicked Ways

December 3, 2021

Transcript: II Chron 7:14- God’s remedy for national judgment- including America – is revival- and God’s people hold the key. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Today we conclude identifying God’s requirements for revival and answered prayer. His 5th mandate says, “IF MY PEOPLE- SHALL TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS.” ‘Wicked ways’ means excessive wickedness - more specifically ‘gross spiritual or physical adultery’. Until we understand that God’s judgment and withholding of blessing is caused by our gross idolatry -trusting in other things more than the God who’s called us -God won’t hear nor will He heal our land. Do you understand that God’s biggest problem with His People is our personal and national guilt of ‘idolatry and wicked ways’? Until we do, we’ll never turn from our sins. Would you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and together repent of our wicked ways so God will hear and answer? Visit us at American pastors network dot net and sign up

Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021 - If My People Pray Series: If My People--Seek My Face

December 2, 2021

Transcript: II Chron 7:14- God’s remedy for national judgment- including America – is revival- and God’s people hold the key. So, why hasn’t God answered prayer? Perhaps we haven’t done what He requires. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. This week we’re identifying God’s requirements for revival. His 4th mandate says, “IF MY PEOPLE…SHALL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, PRAY, AND SEEK MY FACE.” To “seek” means to earnestly appeal to God the great Judge Who’s compelled by His holiness and justice to punish the sins of His people. This ‘seeking’s’ the cry of the condemned who knowing their guilt - and awaiting judgment -have one last chance to beseech the face of the Judge and appeal for mercy. How earnestly are you appealing to God for mercy knowing your guilt and the guilt of our nation? Would you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and together seek God’s face so God will hear and answer? Visit us at American pastors network dot net and sign up

Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021 - If My People Pray Series: If My People--Pray

December 1, 2021

Transcript: II Chron 7:14- God’s remedy for national judgment- including America – is revival- and God’s people hold the key. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. This week we’re identifying God’s requirements for revival and what God requires of us before He’ll answer our prayers. His third mandate is, “IF MY PEOPLE … SHALL HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY.” This Prayer isn’t just individual, it’s national. Far more than just praying for relief from divine judgment, it’s praying in repentance with confession of personal and national sin. It’s praying in obedience on bended knee in humility responding to God’s repeated warning signs in the weather. Are you unashamed to be called a Christian? Are you praying in obedience on bended knee in repentance or just selfishly asking God to turn off judgment and turn on blessing? Would you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and together humble ourselves before God so He’ll hear and answer? Visit us at American pastors network dot net and sign up

Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021 - If My People Pray Series: If My People...Humble Themselves

November 30, 2021

Transcript: II Chron 7:14- God’s remedy for national judgment- including America – is revival- and God’s people hold the key. So, why hasn’t God answered prayer? Perhaps we haven’t done what He requires. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. God’s second mandate is “IF MY PEOPLE SHALL HUMBLE THEMSELVES.” This word ‘humble’ is used carefully in Scripture. It’s far more than just bowing the head and feeling a little sorry. God demands much more of His people if He’s to hear our prayer and heal our land. This word ‘humble’ literally means to bend the knee, the heart and the head in clear submission and repentance to God our Judge. Have you literally bent your knees in true submission to the LORD – the King of Kings - or just bowed your head and felt a little sorry? Would you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and together truly humble before God so He’ll hear and answer? Visit us at American pastors network dot net and sign up

Monday, Nov. 29, 2021 - If My People Pray Series: If--My People

November 1, 2021

Transcript: II Chron 7:14 - God’s remedy for national judgment- including America – is revival- and God’s people hold the key. So, why hasn’t God answered prayer? Perhaps we haven’t prepared ourselves His way. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer, with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Join me every day this week as we take a fresh look at this powerful promise and what God expects from us. The first mandate is clear, “IF MY PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME”. The word “if” says that these people had their eyes and ears open, recognized God’s repeated warnings through severe weather He identified in verse 13 and were driven to prayer. The words, ‘My People” limits this promise to those God’s called, those unashamed to bear His name, obedient, and holy in walk. Are you one of them? Would you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and prepare our lives together so God will hear and answer? Visit us at American pastors network dot net and sign up.

Friday, Nov. 26, 2021 - Thanksgiving Series: Redeeming Black Friday

November 26, 2021

Transcript: Black Friday marks the traditional first day of the Christmas shopping season, yet it has also become a concerning symbol of our nation’s materialism. How can we redeem Black Friday? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. The term Black Friday has been used since the 1960s. However, recent years have seen the day expand into traffic jams and even fighting. Some retailers now employ armed guards to maintain order among tense shoppers. As we watch the chaos of Black Friday, it reminds us of two important biblical concepts. First, God calls us to be content with what we have. Second, we are not to love the things of this world. As He looks at us today, may we seek to live content with the amazing blessings He has already provided and seek to genuinely bless the lives of others this holiday season. Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021 - Thanksgiving Series: Thanksgiving Day!

November 25, 2021

Transcript: Thanksgiving is more than a day of feasting. What are we really celebrating on this special day? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. In the classic “Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” television special, Marcie reminds Charlie Brown, “Thanksgiving is more than eating, Chuck. We should just be thankful for being together.” Can you relate? We often find ourselves focused on food, watching football, or other plans, yet the real joy of the holiday is extended time together with loved ones, including our children and grandchildren. Scripture reminds us to make the most of every moment. Instead of overemphasizing food or other activities, remember the importance of time with those you love. This life passes so quickly. Let’s make sure we focus our lives on God and showing love to those around us. These special times will result in memories we will never regret. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2024 - Thanksgiving Series: Thanks in All Circumstances

November 24, 2021

Transcript: How can we follow the Bible’s teaching to give thanks in all circumstances? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. 1 Thessalonians five eighteen instructs us it is God’s will to thank God in all circumstances. No matter our situation, we know God works for our good. Why? Romans eight twenty-eight reminds us “for those who love God all things work together for good.” For example, Joseph was sold as a slave and a prisoner for thirteen years before the Lord made him a leader in Egypt. Yet Joseph would later recognize these tragic circumstances served as part of God’s plan to save the lives of many. We may not understand the trials we face, but we can be thankful through the storms of life. God is with us and is for us despite our most difficult situations. Let’s remember to thank Him in all circumstances today. Join us for more Biblical resources at American Pastors Network dot net.

Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021 - Thanksgiving Series: The First Thanksgiving Prayer

November 23, 2021

Transcript: How did the first Pilgrims celebrate Thanksgiving? A look at the first Thanksgiving prayer provides a great reminder of the holiday. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. History records Governor Bradford recorded the first Thanksgiving proclamation three years after the Pilgrims settled in Plymouth. One key phrase of his prayer records that God “has granted us freedom to worship Him according to the dictates of our own conscience.” While many today view Thanksgiving as a holiday to eat turkey and watch football, its origin celebrated our nation’s freedom to worship God. Let me encourage you to reconnect with this original Thanksgiving prayer. As you gather for the holiday with loved ones, remember to express appreciation for America’s religious liberties. More than ever, we need to remember our religious freedoms—and express them! May God continue to bless America as we seek to worship Him. Monday, Nov. 22, 2021- Thanksgiving Series: An Attitude of Gratitude

November 22, 2021

Transcript: What does it mean to be thankful? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. As we approach Thanksgiving, we consider the importance of living with gratitude for God’s blessings. Psalm one hundred urges us to, “Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!” The Israelites praised God as they first entered the temple gates in Jerusalem, continuing as they walked through the courtyard. Gratitude extended throughout their journey. The principle of thankful living impacts us still today. We don’t need to wait until a holiday. We can reflect on God’s goodness to us throughout our daily actions. Even when we are stuck in traffic or standing in a line at a store, we can turn from impatience to counting God’s blessings. From our salvation, to our family members, to the little ways God shows up throughout our day, our hurried moments can become holy moments as we cultivate an attitude of gratitude. Friday, Nov, 19, 2021 - The Armor of God Series: The Helmet and Sword

November 19, 2021

Transcription: Today concludes this week’s focus on the whole armor of God. If we’re to stand against the devils schemes we must gird with Truth, then add a breastplate of Righteousness, Gospel shoes and the Shield of Faith. The Apostle Paul concludes by saying, take the Helmet of Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. The salvation helmet adorns and protects. It’s the hope and joy of salvation giving confidence in battle and making life bearable in trials. The Sword of the Spirit’s the Word of God and our offensive weapon - used by the Believer but empowered by the Spirit. It’s powerful, absolute, edifying, rebuking, encouraging, never changing. – a solace in storms a light in the night. More powerful than the devil’s schemes and demonic deception, the Sword of the Spirit prevails. Will you put on the whole armor of God with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV? Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021 - The Armor of God Series: The Shield

November 18, 2021

Transcript: In Ephesians 6:16, the Apostle Paul says that above all, to stand against the Devil’s schemes, we must pick up and use the shield of Faith. This Faith shield is perhaps the most important piece of defensive armor against the fiery darts of the Wicked One because it’s versatile, mobile, and capable of protecting the entire body. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer, President of the American Pastors Network with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Faith is that unswerving Trust in God to do all He says He’ll do. Protection from the fiery darts – those temptations from the Devil, the enticements to the sins of blasphemous thoughts, unbelief, the sudden urging to do wrong or entertain sinful thoughts is what only true Faith can protect against. These fiery darts like speeding arrows come suddenly and from unexpected places. They pierce and penetrate and can set the soul on fire. How’s your faith Shield?
