In John 10:10, Jesus talks about Himself as the Good Shepherd of the sheep, and says, “I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The purpose for which Christ came didn’t stop when his death, burial, and resurrection were accomplished. It continues now and through eternity to those who believe in Him. He offers not only salvation from sin-but the gift of His Holy Spirit to dwell in our hearts and supply us with abundant joy, purpose, and meaning in life. He heaps grace upon grace, strength, and wisdom all found in the person of Jesus Christ and in understanding and believing the written Word of God.

Did you know the abundant life-the fulfilling life that Jesus offers us happens to be the kind of life a new generation is seeking? We’ve talked about the Millennial generation many times on this program -but today we’re going to focus on the newest group of teens and young adults- Generation Z.

According to a recent Wall Street Journal survey, 30% of Gen Z’ers say, “religion is very important to them.” (which is the lowest in U.S. history). BUT, 78% says, “living a self-fulfilled life is very important to them.”
In response to this survey, our guest on today’s program points out, “This should be extremely eye-opening to us. That’s the threshold to cross in communicating (the gospel) to Gen Z – to help them see that a “fulfilled life” only comes from Someone outside of “self”.”

And that Someone is Jesus Christ.
