During the Trump administration, relations with Israel were a priority as seen by the President’s support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. One of the most amazing accomplishments of his four years in office was the normalization agreements made between Israel, the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco. These were called the “Abraham Accords” and were facilitated by Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. But where will the new administration take current US relations with Israel?
On this program, we’ll be considering what a Biden presidency will mean for Israel. We know the new secretary of state, Anthony Blinken, seems to be in support of the Abraham Accords, but will other issues like the Palestinian settlements, the reintroduction of the nuclear deal with Iran, and negotiations with Turkey mean trouble ahead?
