Living Out Your True Identity: Lessons from the Life of Daniel

In an article by Samuel James titled, “Courage Takes More than a Keyboard: Christian Nerve in a Digital Age”, he writes, “It’s never been easier to fool ourselves that we are courageous when we really are not. Like the donkey who donned a lion skin to look like Aslan, or the “wizard” of Oz who was really just an old man with a machine, the image we project on our screens can be little more than self-aggrandizement. If our online audience could peek through the phone or laptop we hold, they would see the real us, and our “platform” would be laughed at rather than respected.”

Perhaps you can identify with this sentiment. It’s much easier to keep people at arm’s length through a twitter or facebook account than to do the hard work of building relationships shoulder to shoulder or heart to heart.
And staying true to our faith may mean defending the truth when it’s unpopular or sharing the gospel when it’s difficult or even dangerous.

This program will include some lessons from the book of Daniel, a courageous hero of the faith-who’s story is both timeless and inspiring. Pastor Matt Recker shares how he's applying these lessons to everyday life.
