The Rule of Law is described as being the condition where justice prevails in judicial rulings and where Truth is balanced with mercy and applied equally to all (equity). The illustration of this is Lady Justice blind folded with scales in her hands with Truth on one side and mercy on the other and equity indicated by the fact that she is blindfolded meaning that everyone gets the same treatment. Can there be true justice without understanding all these components as called out in Isaiah 59:14?
