The Psalms of Ascent, which consist of Psalms 120-134, were songs sung by worshipers as they made their way to Jerusalem for the annual feasts. The road they traveled was known as the Pilgrim road, and the recent rediscovery of this road in Israel, buried under a Palestinian village, caused quite a stir among those who contest that the Jews have no claim to Jerusalem and the surrounding areas.
