Most of us have never experienced life in a country hostile to Christianity, though we’re increasingly feeling the heat from those who want to extinguish our religious freedoms. Places like North Korea, China, predominantly Muslim countries, and others routinely harass, jail, persecute, beat and even kill believers. Their death doesn’t make the evening news, but it does make the heavenly roll call. While some have been called to die a martyr’s death and thereby receive the martyr’s crown, others have been called to sound the alarm, resist tyranny, and boldly call authorities to task in the name of our God-given right to worship how, when, and where the Holy Spirit leads us. Humble but obedient Pastors have often spearheaded these efforts and suffered greatly. Pastor Christian Ionescu from Romania said this, "I immigrated (to the US) in 1987 from a country where the government could close down and even demolish churches at will! But in the end [the government] lost, because a few pastors stood up to the tyranny and (the) people followed." As we consider the encroaching restrictions state and local authorities are enacting on our own cities and towns, it’s time Pastors and churches begin to consider what a regathering of their people should look like. The hosts on this program interview two Pastors about how and why they’re planning to open their churches for services within the next few weeks. America in Freefall: Why Some Lives Don't Matter
July 12, 2020 • Sam Rohrer, George Barna, Gary Dull
Times of great crises in the history of mankind are nothing new. We know of natural disasters, plagues, and world wars that have crippled nations and decimated entire populations. God, in His sovereignty, has allowed COVID-19 to afflict Americans; civil unrest and violence stalk the streets of our major cities, and a general feeling of ambivalence is felt towards those in positions of authority who’ve seemingly failed to provide leadership or direction during these trying times. If you’ve ever been on a roller coaster-you know what a free fall feels like. That moment when you begin a steep descent at a speed that takes your breath away. then you’re effortlessly lifted from your seat, held only by a seatbelt, and for an eternal second you float between earth and sky. Imagine that example is a picture of our nation beginning a nosedive towards the abyss of cultural Marxism, anarchy, and socialism. In horror, we’ve been watching as America’s moral and civil restraints have been stretched to the breaking point, and we wonder how a nation with so many Divine blessings could fall in less than 250 years. It’s into this developing situation that we want to speak on this program. Our guest, George Barna, is going to share his latest research with us, what it means and what we can do about it concerning America’s moral freefall. Yes, there’s hope and an answer to be found for our nation’s troubles, and it’s what we’re going to talk about on this episode of Stand in the Gap Weekend.
Freedom and Unity in America

Words matter but so do definitions. Especially in today’s hyper charged, politically correct culture. Words and phrases that meant one thing ten years ago, have been hijacked to mean something else altogether. With tensions running high over the tragic death of George Floyd on May 25 , what seems to be a simple redefinition of terms is actually proving to be quite deadly. On this program, host Isaac Crockett, will be talking with an African American pastor from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to get his take on all that’s happening across the nation. Dr. Joe Green joins joins the discussion about real issues plaguing the black community, tracing the problem and the solution back to where it belongs and separating the term racism from bigotry and prejudice. Yes, racism is as old as time. The enslavement of people groups beginning in the some of the world’s earliest civilizations-Persia, Greece, Rome and even on the African continent with blacks enslaving blacks at an alarming rate due to tribal conflict. It only goes to show that the heart is desperately wicked-as the Bible tells us. Bent on elevating self and mistreating others, racism is a heart issue that can only be solved by the gospel and the acknowledgement of the Creator God who has made us equally loved and valued in His sight. The Left’s War Against the Police: Their Gain, America’s Pain
June 21, 2020 • Sam Rohrer, John Guandolo
Wikipedia tells us the central idea of Cultural Marxism is to soften up and prepare Western Civilization for economic Marxism after a gradual, relentless, sustained attack on every institution of Western culture, including schools, literature, art, film, the Judeo-Christian worldview tradition, marriage and the family, sexual mores, national sovereignty, etcetera. The attacks are usually framed in Marxist terms as a class struggle between oppressors and oppressed; the members of the latter class allegedly include women, minorities, homosexuals, and adherents of non-Western ideologies such as Islam. Cultural Marxism has been described as "the cultural branch of globalism.” (www.conservapedia.com/Cultural_Marxism) This definition, while lengthy, is the prelude to the program today. It encapsulates all that’s taking place across our nation as calls to defund the police are taken up in places like Minneapolis, New York City and Atlanta, Georgia. The police (and all those in positions of power-whether white or black) are considered the oppressors; the African American man or woman (specifically those who feel disenfranchised by the ‘system’) are the oppressed. Group names like Antifa, Black Lives Matter, Democrat Socialist, Jihadi, the Muslim Brotherhood and others all subscribe to the same ideology with varying agendas. The end result, according to author Dinesh D’Souza is a “socialist state that reduces its citizens to abject conformity by crushing the independence of spirit and mind.” It’s the opposite of what our Founders believed and what the Bible teaches and it’s what our guest, John Guandolo with Understanding the Threat Organization is going to share with us.
