Moral Principles of Marriage Series: It’s One Man - One Woman

Transcript: Today marks the midpoint of our emphasis on marriage. This week, I’m sharing 5 principles of the moral argument for marriage since strong marriages yield strong families and strong families yield strong nations. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer, with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. First, marriage is God’s idea. Second, biblical marriage is society’s foundational institution of authority. The third principle presumes one man and one woman -united and committed - as one flesh – before God. No other combination works in God’s plan. Therefore, no government possesses the authority to legally alter or redefine marriage or family. It has no more moral or jurisdictional authority to redefine marriage than to declare invalid Natural Law, or declare moral such immoral actions as theft, murder or rape. Transcript: Often times, people are told that if they become a Christian they will be prosperous and live free of persecution. But is this true? Not according to the apostle Paul. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. In 2 Timothy 3:12, Paul wrote “all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” Suffering is the norm, not the exception, for those who live like Christ. Unlike the feel-good messages some communicate today, those who live a godly life should expect persecution rather than prosperity. Just as Paul, the other apostles, and even Jesus faced trials for doing what was right. So we must be prepared to face adversity when we commit to living according to biblical truth. Our response should not be surprise when we’re persecuted, but rather to stand firm in boldness and love when others reject Jesus Christ the object of our faith. Don’t Be Deceived Series: The Solution to Deception

Transcript: A weapon is only good if you use it when it is needed. In battle, even the best weapons will not help you win unless you use them. The same is true with the spiritual armor of God. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. This week, we’ve looked at the spiritual deception we face, and the solution to it. God has given us His Word and His armor to make us victorious. He has also given us prayer, which allows up to directly communicate with the most powerful Being in the universe. But unless we rely on God’s Spirit and His Scriptures to help, we will grow weary fighting in our own strength. The solution to the spiritual battles and deceptions we face is not to try harder, but to look upward. God’s power is our solution to spiritual deception and the challenges we face. Don’t Be Deceived Series: Guarding Against Deception

Transcript: Various awareness campaigns have helped our society become more familiar with many issues, ranging from cancer to helping children in need or assisting persecuted Christians. But did you know we also have a need for increased awareness regarding the spiritual deception we face? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. In Ephesians 6, the apostle Paul discusses the “spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” we face on a daily basis. Our battles include more than we see with our eyes. To succeed in our walk with God, we must rely on His spiritual armor to guard against deception. When we do, Scripture says we will “stand firm” against the devil and his schemes.
