Another problem confronting America is God’s judgment. Any time a nation rejects God’s Word and spurns His ways, blessings stop and judgment starts! In Israel of old, God blessed the land with prosperity, good weather, healthy families and security from the enemy. But when they forsook the Lord, presumed upon God’s blessings, became ungrateful and lifted up their hearts in pride, God stopped His blessings and started Judgment. Sound like America today? Despite God’s desire to pour out blessing, because of His justice, He must send judgment upon those who disobey. As you consider your own life, are you presuming on His blessings? Are you walking in obedience which brings blessing or walking in pride and ungratefulness which will bring more judgment? His blessing should be desired more than any other pleasure in this life.

Wednesday, April 21, 2021 - Train Up a Child Series: Fear and Obey God
April 21, 2021
Transcript There is a reason God told Israel’s fathers in Deuteronomy 6 to fear God and raise up their children to fear the Lord. Fearing God is the foundation to personal and national success. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Deuteronomy 6:2 teaches, “That you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all his statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.” Verse three adds “that it may be well with you.” Our fear of the Lord extends life and offers security as we live according to God’s ways. You must personally invest in your child’s life to help them know the ways of the Lord. We don’t outsource godly teaching; we are called to equip our children with God’s Word. Tuesday, April 20, 2021 - Train Up a Child Series: A Virtuous and Godly Education
April 20, 2021
Transcript: American founding father William Penn stated that the only way God could raise up a nation of self-governing people and to continue to bless it was through, “A virtuous and godly education of the youth.” What does it mean to equip the next generation with a godly education? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. In contrast with William Penn’s God-honoring approach, Soviet communist Vladimir Lenin said, “Give me just one generation of youth and I’ll transform the whole world.” Today’s cultural values tend to more closely align with Lenin than with our founding fathers. Yet Scripture implores us to equip our children with a Christian worldview. Our children need more than just math and science; they also need a solid foundation of Scripture. Make time to read the Bible with your children and grandchildren. Don’t let the culture raise your children. Equip your kids with the truth of Christ. Monday, April 19, 2021 - Train Up a Child Series: How to Train Up a Child
April 19, 2021
Transcript: Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Well, how do we train up our children in today’s culture? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. The biblical model given to Israel in Deuteronomy 6 is for fathers to take the primary responsibility for the provision of a God-fearing education for their children. We are to teach by example, words, and actions so that our children will know who God is and what He has done. There is a strong correlation between fearing and obey God, and expecting blessing, prosperity, and security in the future. Education is not primarily the job of a school or even the church. It is the responsibility of the parents. Your involvement in your child’s education is your single greatest duty given to you by God. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.
