Transcript: In Romans 13:23, Paul wrote that everything that does not come from faith is sin. What do these words mean for us today? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. In Paul's situation, he wrote that those who had doubts about eating certain foods sinned when they did not act in faith. Why? Because they based their decisions on their own feelings rather than God's truth and the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Still today, many follow the faulty advice of doing what feels right rather than seeking God's will. When we lack wisdom, we are called to turn to the Lord in prayer rather than choosing our own way. It is when we place our faith in His ways that we avoid sin and truly live in a way that pleases Him. In addition, Scripture encourages us to consider how our actions impact those around us.
