Avoiding Deception Series: Staying on the Path

September 24, 2024

Transcript: Walking is a normal activity for most people, but taking steps along a rocky trail adds a level of complication that can cause us to stumble. God’s Word reveals a similar concern regarding our spiritual lives. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Psalm 73:2 says “my feet had almost stumbled, my steps had nearly slipped.” Why? The psalmist wrote, “For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.” When the ungodly seem successful, it’s tempting to stray from God’s path to join them. If we want our journey to please God, we must keep our feet focused on His way for our lives, knowing that the obstacles we see are temporary, but the decisions we make today are eternal. Jesus warned against falling to the deceptions of this world, calling us to always be prepared for His coming. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.
