“What do you allow to define you?” That’s the byline of the new film hitting theaters on August 23rd called, “Overcomer”.
This program features an interview with Alex Kendrick, co-writer, actor and producer of this film. You might recognize his name since he and his brothers produced other faith-based movies like Facing the Giants, Fireproof, and War Room.
The new movie, Overcomer, explores the theme of identity-a word we hear quite often from the main-stream media. However, the kind of “identity” they’re talking about is based on feelings rather than the truth because we can’t really know who we are if we can’t answer the relevant questions of life- like who made me and why am I here?
The characters in the movie wrestle with these questions and more as they face the challenges and difficulties life often throws our way.
Then Pastor John Mallonnee shares how God used an opportunity for him to be a witness while serving on his local school board.
