When we hear the word ‘deficit’ we usually think of it in terms of finances. Would you believe the US treasury puts the federal deficit for the 2019 fiscal year at $984 billion, a 26% increase from last year?

As inconceivable and irresponsible our government spending is, it doesn’t compare to the true deficit affecting our nation. While the one has economic impact, the other has eternal consequences. Another way of putting it would be that America is deficient in this critical area.

On this program, we’ve invited George Barna to give us the report on his recent survey of Americans and what has been revealed as a tragic deficit in understanding and applying biblical principles to our lives.

This kind of spiritual deficiency has had a profound affect on our society-so much so that we find ourselves in a place where we look around and see a godless educational system, corrupt government, an untrustworthy media and so on.

It breaks our hearts, and certainly breaks God’s heart; but as we know, where there is a problem, there’s also a solution-and that’s what we’ll be communicating on this program.
