The Real Reason the U.S. is Anchored in the Middle East

Who does the U.S. fear most in regard to gaining access to the oil fields in eastern Syria and Iraq? Is it Russia? Iran? Or could it be China?

Iran recently announced that in southern Iran, they discovered what may be the world’s second largest oil deposit at over 50 Billion barrels. Some think that claim might not be true. How is China playing its hand in the Middle East? What is their strategy with Iran? Is oil at the heart of the matter or is there more?

At this time, China doesn’t appear to have massive amounts of military equipment or personnel on the ground in the Middle East. Yet they exercise great influence. What is their level of strategic influence? Could they easily and quickly introduce military equipment and soldiers quickly?
