New for Fall Kickoff this year on September 8, we’ll participate in an ELCA wide event called "God’s Work. Our Hands." During worship and afterward we’ll be lifting up the unique calling and purpose that each of us has to serve our neighbors and the world—to be God’s hands in the world, doing God’s Work. We have four projects this year, each designed to be completed in an hour or less.
Lutheran World Relief Quilt-making: Express your love for neighbors in need through a quilt. Facilitated by the Knitting, Quilting and Crafting group, there will be tasks for all ages including children.
Letter Writing: Support key policy issues such as identified in ELCA actions alerts. Facilitated by Marge Shaffer and Karen Saboe, our Mental Health Connect Ambassadors, there will be letter writing resources for adults and a kid’s activity.
Outdoor Weeding and Clean Up: Care for our property by pulling weeds and cleaning up branches.
Cards for Seniors: Bring light and joy to local senior living center residents. Facilitated by our Family Ministry Team, there will be resources for children and adults to make cards.
