Many of us have a preconceived notion that in order to be a Christian we have to follow rules and be perfect all time. Society tells us that being Christian is about being a good person and doing good things. Today, Pastor Terry wants you to know that all God requires of us as believers are to simply follow Him and do our best. All we are asked of is to have faith and try our best to live for Christ. Don’t be discouraged and give up when you live the way you don’t want to live. Instead, simply give God your best.

If we concentrate on the things of this world and the chaos that surrounds us, we can become anxious and without hope. Today, Pastor Terry encourages us with the good news of Jesus and His everlasting kingdom. He is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. We can put our confidence in Him. The Word of the Lord stands forever, and His promises never fail. Our future is bright if we belong to Christ. Hold on to the Rock through life’s uncertainties, and look forward to the promises that await us.

So often, it can feel like the Lord doesn’t listen and doesn’t hear you in your need. But, as pastor Terry teaches today, God hears all, knows every word spoken to Him, and then speaks to His children. When you pray to the Lord, then truly tune your heart to Him, and wait quietly, He will speak to you. If you’re a believer, you can hear your Savior’s voice. He is with you and will speak to you. You must earnestly seek Him and listen for His voice. It will help you through your most difficult moments.
