Communion

April 14, 2024 • Pastor Ryan Hurd • John 6:32–58, 1 Corinthians 11:23–29

Jesus left His followers two ordinances. Ceremonial practices that are unique to our faith. Both baptism and communion were given as a means for publicly professing our faith in the Gospel. In each case, the sign is a visible display pointing to a reality different from and more significant than itself. Through communion, Christ invites us to look back, to look in, and to look forward. As we do, we remember the saving work of Christ on the cross, our daily need for Him, and long for His return.
