Conceal vs. Confess

September 29, 2024 • Pastor Ryan Hurd • Proverbs 28:13, James 5:16, Psalm 32:1–5, Luke 18:9–13, James 1:22–24

A vibrant Christian faith thrives on the habit of confession. By humbly assessing ourselves and acknowledging our need for forgiveness, we open the door to God’s grace. Instead of hiding our mistakes, we’re called to surrender them—whether privately before God or with a trusted friend. Though it may feel uncomfortable at first, regular confession becomes a transformative practice that keeps us humble and prevents sin from taking root in our lives.
