How to BLESS Your Neighbor

This is the FINAL weekend of our series: How to BLESS Your Neighbor, and the Big Idea: “Jesus invites you to share your story.”

When many people think of the topic of Evangelism, they often feel intimidated or even overwhelmed. Sometimes they don’t know what to say, or feel like their story isn’t significant enough to mention.

In this week’s message, we’ll be given the framework for telling our own story. We’ll be challenged from the story of the Blind man who receives his sight in John 9:1-34. You’d be surprised how significant your story is to helping someone live the ONE Adventure!

Week #4: Serve

THIS WEEKEND at Adventure, we continue our series: How to BLESS Your Neighbor. In John 13, Jesus did something completely unexpected. Before dinner, he washed his disciples’ feet. It must have been an incredibly awkward moment! Washing feet was a must before sharing a common meal in the ancient world, but it was typically a job that was reserved for the lowest ranking person in the house. Jesus modeled the practice of servant leadership to those who followed him. He was willing to lay down his crown, and put on an apron. If we want to BLESS our neighbor, Jesus invites us to serve.

Week #3: Eat

When you’ve been transformed by God’s love, you can’t help but want others to experience the same grace and freedom. But how do you share it without scaring them away or offending them? For most Christians, “evangelism” is an intimidating word that suggests handing out tracts to strangers or doing other awkward things. But what if there was a more organic, more authentic way to share your faith with your friends, neighbors, and coworkers? Join us at Adventure as we continue the series: How to BLESS Your Neighbor. In order to BLESS our neighbor, Jesus invites us to share meals together. But why is food such an important part of Jesus plan? Come on Sunday and find out what the Bible says about the role of food in the work to BLESS our neighbors.
