Emoji’s help us communicate how we feel using face pictures with gestures! So far, we've looked at Boredom in the work environment, Envy, and Worry, but if you think about it... there are literally dozens of emotions that we have! This week, in our message series Extremely Emojinal, we'll be looking at a common emotion that we have ALL struggled with at some point in our life: Sorrow. When we usually describe sorrow, it's almost always viewed as a negative emotion, or in light of not so great circumstances. However, the Bible has a lot to teach us about sorrow. It teaches us: For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. 2 Corinthians 7:10 (NLT). This weekend, Pastor Andy will teach us 5 steps to help us experience joy after sorrow.

This week, we continue our series Extremely Emojinal with a look at three similar, yet very dangerous emotions: Jealousy, Envy, and Comparison. The Bible says a lot about these complex emotions, specifically that they are NOT God's kind of wisdom. From time to time, many of us struggle with them, without even knowing it! This week, we'll be unpacking how these emotions really represent a deeper heart issue, and we'll look at a Godly wisdom alternative that the author James offers to us.
