About Gerry

Hometown
I was born in Winkler, MB, where the sky touches the earth, the winters build character, and the sunsets are proof that God exists.

Children
I have 2 adult daughters, Anjii and Christina, and their hubbies here on earth and one daughter, Niki, waiting in heaven. Collectively, they have produced the world's most beautiful granddaughter and 8 gentlemen grandsons. Recently our granddaughter gave birth to our first family member of the next generation!

What I Do
I support and coordinate the many who serve to ensure all the moving pieces are in place for our services, programs, and events. Sylvie and I also work with our dedicated Marriage Mentors to provide support and encouragement for AVC's couples and marriages .

Best Part of My Job
People! Whether those who freely give their time and talents to serve (and are the engine that drives AVC), the staff I have the privilege of working alongside, or other individuals I get to connect with through my job, it’s all about the people who comprise the Kingdom of God.

Our family, every minute I spend with Sylvie, creating photo-art, and road-trips with the sunroof wide open and playlists blasting.

About Sylvie

What I Do
I have worked full-time in the financial industry since I moved to BC, in 1979. I started with banking, where I held just about any position available, until I found my niche. I am now working with a great team of Investment Advisors with a major brokerage house. I am involved with the administration of the accounts, being first contact with clients to ascertain their queries are addressed promptly and one of the two people registered to place trades once the advisors have made their recommendations. A very exciting and dynamic environment, that can be very rewarding and incredibly stressful all at the same time.

Home Town
A little town called St-Eustache, around 20 minutes north of Montréal, in the province of Québec.

Children
Both my boys live here in BC:
Eric, and his beautiful mermaid Courtney live in Coquitlam;
Steven, and his wife Meagen live in Abbotsford.
No grandkids on our side yet – I am very thankful that Gerry chooses to share his. 😊
