The Tower of Babel – Was it Real? What Difference Does it Make? - Pt. 1

March 20, 2022 • Sam Rohrer, Isaac Crockett, Guest: Bodie Hodge

Sam Rohrer and Isaac Crockett are joined by guest Bodie Hodge (Answers in Genesis) to discuss this important topic by going to the heart of the cause and defining the solution.

There’s no verse more foundational in all of Scripture than Genesis 1:1. Each of the first 10 words in this first verse is powerful…In the Beginning…In the Beginning God…In the Beginning God Created…In the Beginning God Created the Heaven and the Earth. In this verse and the first 11 chapters of Genesis, God presents Himself, the history of the beginning of the earth and universe, the creation of mankind, the advent of sin and the fall, His promise of redemption, and the beginning of human civilization.

How one thinks about these 11 chapters sets the stage for how one believes the entirety of the Bible and the person of Jesus Christ as Savior, King, and Judge of the World. Died, risen, and soon coming again.

When it comes to the account of The Tower of Babel, for most people, that understanding ranges from incomplete at best to a total ignorance placing The Tower of Babel in the same category as Alice in Wonderland and fairy tales. Like all of Genesis 1-11 from Creation to The Tower of Babel to the last 3 verses in the book of Revelation 22:21, the devil has sought to distort, deceive, or destroy God’s Word.

While God sent Jesus Christ to bring eternal life, the devil has sought to bring eternal death to the souls of mankind for whom God so loved. It’s into this context that understanding the truth about The Tower of Babel becomes so important and relevant.

Blessed is the Man

April 7, 2024 • Sam Rohrer, Isaac Crockett

Psalm 1 is the introductory Psalm to the other 149, the gateway to the entire Psalms.  It is powerful citing two paths in life. One that produces blessedness and life. The other death.  Psalm 1 is for all people of all ages. It speaks to us today.  It identifies what the blessed men does and doesn’t do. It identifies what the blessed man will be like and by application how we can be like the blessed man.  Also, it identifies what the ungodly or evil man is not. It concludes by saying that the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. Stay tuned as Sam and Isaac consider the important theme, “Blessed is the Man - Psalm 1”.

God’s Word & The Skeptic’s Questions

March 31, 2024 • Sam Rohrer, Isaac Crockett, Guest: Bryan Osborne

Sam Rohrer and Isaac Crockett are joined by guest Bryan Osborne (Answers in Genesis) to discuss this important topic by going to the heart of the cause and defining the solution.\ Ever wonder how old the earth actually is? Is it thousands of years old or hundreds of millions of years old? Ever wonder when Genesis talks about a day if that day is a 24-hour day or a 24-million-year day. Does it make any real difference?  Asking questions is a practice the Lord Jesus did routinely in response to His skeptics with the purpose of exposing their sinister unbelief yet always leading them to the truth. Jesus loved to also answer legitimate questions as posed by His disciples.  In the appropriate fashion and for the right reasons we’ll pose some questions. Not to question God though doubt, but to ask questions to better understand what God has done, said, and who He is.  Join us as we continue to look at the topic “God’s Word & The Skeptic’s Questions”. We hope you’ll find the program challenging and informative.
