Matthew 5:10 lists the final beatitude Christ gave in His sermon on the Mount. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”. This promise throughout the ages has encouraged and strengthened those who were about to undergo much suffering and many trials because of their faith in God. Thankfully, this promise still holds true for us today, as increasingly we’re seeing state and local governments enforce restrictions on how and where we can worship. While we’ve discussed persecution abroad-which is devastating, and ongoing-we haven’t explored the developing situation on the ground for many Pastors and churches in the wake of COVID-19 policies right here in America. Even now-some are finding themselves defending their right to worship in court-a right clearly defined in the US Constitution and adhered to throughout the history of our nation. Stand in the Gap radio hosts, Gary Dull and Dave Kistler discuss this issue on this enlightening program of Stand in the Gap Weekend.

The Serious Stakes of the Upcoming Election
October 18, 2020 • Gary Dull, Dave Kistler, Jim O'Bryon
If we say someone leans to the right-politically, what do we mean? Conversely, if we say someone leans to the left-what do we mean? Most of us identify the right with Conservative Judeo-Christian values and the left as being more liberal-taking a progressive position politically. But would you be surprised to hear that the Bible has something to say about the right and the left that actually corresponds with our political parties today? It might not sound legitimate, but our guest on today’s program is going to share from his own personal Bible study on this topic, and then we’ll discuss some of the positions held by the left and the right leading up to the general election. These positions clearly define what’s at stake in this election and if you’re not sure where your party stands on the issues important to you-you’ll want to listen to this episode of Stand in the Gap Weekend! Arrested for Singing?
October 11, 2020 • Isaac Crockett, Sam Rohrer, Gary Dull, Gabriel Rench
On September 25th, just two weeks ago, people across the nation watched the spectacle of members from Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho arrested by local law enforcement. Their crime? Not wearing a mask or socially distancing from a crowd of about 100 people calmly worshiping God. This Psalm sing by the members of Christ Church was a protest against the overreach of Moscow’s mayor who extended the mask mandate and social distancing directives until January 5th, 2021- despite the fact that there hasn’t been a single death or hospitalization from the Coronavirus in the entire county where Moscow is located since the beginning of the pandemic. While this occurrence isn’t the only instance of local and state government overreach on COVID policies that infringe on our first amendment rights, it seems believers and churches across the nation are struggling to understand what legitimate or illegitimate authority is. Who has the right to tell people they can’t assemble and sing in public-especially when other groups are allowed to violently loot and burn private and public property? What’s behind the hypocritical behavior of governors, mayors, and political leaders whose motto is “do as I say, not as I do”. If we were being honest, we’d have to say it’s the fast track to tyranny for our country-and it doesn’t seem like an end is in sight. On this program you'll hear from Gabriel Rench, who was an eye witness of the event in Moscow. Host: Isaac Crockett Co-hosts: Sam Rohrer, Gary Dull Guest: Gabriel Rench
God's Message to America: Wake Up and Return to Me or Perish
October 4, 2020 • Sam Rohrer, Dave Kistler, Gary Dull, Jonathan Cahn
All throughout the Bible we read stories of nations like the children of Israel who were recipients of God’s judgment because of their idol worship and wickedness. But before God’s wrath fell on them, they were given warnings-a window of time and opportunity to repent of their sins and turn back to Him. You'd probably agree that God has been warning America about judgment for quite some time. After all, how can a righteous God look down from heaven and see a nation that began so well but has fallen so far and not begin to send her imminent warnings of destruction. Our guest on this program is going to offer his perspective on what’s happened in America. He’s the author of the book The Harbinger, and his newest release, The Harbinger II: The Return. Perhaps you’ve heard of Rabbi Jonathan Cahn and if you’re wondering what the word ‘harbinger’ means-it’s a person or thing that announces the coming of something else. A forerunner of sorts. For example, you could say John the Baptist was the harbinger of Jesus. He was the forerunner-the announcer of the Messiah. So if you’re a student of prophecy-and you want to know what harbingers have come to pass, and what’s left to come, you'll want to listen to this program.
