When God Speaks - Part 2

February 13, 2022 • Sam Rohrer, Isaac Crockett, Guest: Alex McFarland

Sam Rohrer and Isaac Crockett are joined by guest Alex McFarland (Speaker, Author, and Advocate for Christian Apologetics) to discuss this important topic by going to the heart of the cause and defining the solution.

In America today the probability is great that people do not believe that God speaks or that you can know for sure what He’s saying when He speaks. The Reason? There are 3 main groups of people in our nation today. The first (and smallest) group is the atheist of the day which denies the existence of God and therefore that there is a God who can speak. The second group is the agnostic who dismisses the reality of God and diminishes what He speaks because “You just can’t know for sure”. The third and largest group at 80% comprise the newest religion in America defined by George Barna as syncretism. This group generally claims to believe in God but feel quite comfortable in shaping God into their own image. Ignoring or redefining what God says, projecting onto Him whatever they want.

A foundational question for every person, believer, and rejecter is this. If God speaks, then how does He speak? Once these questions are defined, then we can ask the questions. Why does God speak and what should be my response since He speaks?

Blessed is the Man

April 7, 2024 • Sam Rohrer, Isaac Crockett

Psalm 1 is the introductory Psalm to the other 149, the gateway to the entire Psalms.  It is powerful citing two paths in life. One that produces blessedness and life. The other death.  Psalm 1 is for all people of all ages. It speaks to us today.  It identifies what the blessed men does and doesn’t do. It identifies what the blessed man will be like and by application how we can be like the blessed man.  Also, it identifies what the ungodly or evil man is not. It concludes by saying that the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. Stay tuned as Sam and Isaac consider the important theme, “Blessed is the Man - Psalm 1”.

God’s Word & The Skeptic’s Questions

March 31, 2024 • Sam Rohrer, Isaac Crockett, Guest: Bryan Osborne

Sam Rohrer and Isaac Crockett are joined by guest Bryan Osborne (Answers in Genesis) to discuss this important topic by going to the heart of the cause and defining the solution.\ Ever wonder how old the earth actually is? Is it thousands of years old or hundreds of millions of years old? Ever wonder when Genesis talks about a day if that day is a 24-hour day or a 24-million-year day. Does it make any real difference?  Asking questions is a practice the Lord Jesus did routinely in response to His skeptics with the purpose of exposing their sinister unbelief yet always leading them to the truth. Jesus loved to also answer legitimate questions as posed by His disciples.  In the appropriate fashion and for the right reasons we’ll pose some questions. Not to question God though doubt, but to ask questions to better understand what God has done, said, and who He is.  Join us as we continue to look at the topic “God’s Word & The Skeptic’s Questions”. We hope you’ll find the program challenging and informative.
