Join us as we hear a message from Pastor Stephen about "Finding Comfort in Crisis".
- Two Ways God Comforts us in Crisis -
1.God’s Presence
Isaiah 41:10a (MSG) – Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God.
In a Manger in Bethlehem, He is God WITH Us
At the Cross of Calvary, He is God FOR Us
On the Day of Pentecost, He Became God IN Us
2. God’s Protection
Matthew 8:26a (NLT) – Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!”
Jon Gordon: “Fear and faith have one thing in common—they both believe in a future that hasn’t happened yet. Fear believes in a negative future. Faith believes in a positive future. If neither has happened yet, why wouldn’t we choose to believe in a positive future? Why wouldn’t we choose to believe our best days are ahead of us instead of behind us?”
Matthew 8:26b (NLT) – Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.
Isaiah 41:10 (MSG) – Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.
