Two Ordinances of The Church

Give

Jesus completely drank the cup of God's wrath, so that we can continuously drink from the cup of God's grace.

Jesus completely broke under God's justice, so that we can be made whole by God's mercy.

Application:

The meal helps us to reflect on the sacrifice of Christ.

The meal provides for us spiritual nourishment from Christ.

The meal reminds us of our unity with the body of Christ.

The meal looks forward to a future meal in the presence of Christ.

Baptism

Baptism is a tangible gift from God representing our eternal deliverance through Christ. • It represents our union with his death. • It represent our union with new life. • It represents our dependence on him for salvation. • It represents our covenant relationship with God. Baptism is a specific commandment from God representing our public profession of faith in Christ. Raised for Our Justification
